The title pretty much covered the three things I did.
I woke up nice and early at 8 (ARGH why!!!) and again determined to get something done. As luck would have it, one of my group members for cryptography popped online and asked me about setup up the cluster for the lab . After an hour or so, the computers in the White lab (there's Black and White labs) were all connected to the hub network, hence enabling a successful smurfing attack! Happiness++. Now all I need to do is the attack question.
After lunch, I wanted to work on my thesis A report, which to my horror was due on the 10th October! But my eyes were already tired from this morning so I went to play some violin. A tune's been haunting me in my dreams and it comes from the soundtrack - its called Tears in the Dam (Right-click to save), from the Melody of Oblivion soundtrack (the anime was crap but the soundtrack is hauntingly good). Without knowing it I had spent the entire afternoon playing songs from it. I'm sure my music teachers over the years would have been delighted to know that I've been using the years of classical training to transpose anime soundtracks!
Having lost track of time, I left myself barely enough time to get showered and hop out to dinner at 6. I made it though, bumped into some old friends at Wynyard and then the gang from Whitesmiths showed up. By gang I mean all the 'kids' under 25 at Whitesmiths - Emma, Geoffery + Girlfriend, Yuliana, Edmond (one of the second year coops), with the exception of Agnes who didn't come! Sunny and Margaret were away at uni games.
We went to the Bavarian Beer Cafe for the Tuesday night Chicken Snitzel Challenge. Got fat. That was pretty much it :) We disbanded quickly after a quick stop at Krispy Kremes for Emma (that girl definitely has a sweet tooth!). As for me, after the accompanying schnapps (it was stronger than I thought it'd be) I wasn't up for a long walk across the bridge, so I trained it home...and fell asleep soon after.

Disjoint
With the British semester starting, it seems that matching waking hours with Elvis will get more difficult (Sleeping at 11, waking at 7 doesn't leave me much room Elvis ;)). So I guess I'll just have to start posting more regularly.
Oh if you haven't noticed, I've made this public again (the reason being that I'm trying to experiment with posting/chatting via my mobile). Let me know if you want this changed.
Moving along to what's been happening since I last spoke to you.
Lets start from Sunday.
Sunday
Kung fu started nice and early as usual. What's new is that we've been doing more application lately - blocking, holds, locks and sparring. As a result its now the highlight of my week :D
Total bruise count: 1 hit on Pat's arm (even out by Kev later on the other arm), 20+ hits on Robert, 20+ hits from Robert (I swear the size ratio between us just doesn't make it fair).
Tutoring was...uneventful, although LS showed me a picture of this chick he's going for. The poor guy's about to enter a totally new world of pain soon :D
Monday
Woke up determined to get something done. There's a lot due in the coming weeks - my cryptography lab, my thesis A report and the last of my GPS essays. So I woke up, determined to get things done...
As I was casually trawling through my daily websites, I deceided to take a look at my Battlefield 2 stats, and it turned out I was a) Just 30 kills away from a k/d ratio of 1 b) Missing two badges for my next rank.
Fast foward to lunch time. A k/d ratio > 1, transport, ground defense badge, veteran sniper combat badge...uni work done...0. I better haul ass.
In the end I did do a bit of work :) But alas my Thesis A report is still far from complete. Lots of readings to do.
Tuesday
I have dinner with my old Whitesmiths pals tonight. I'll blog when I get back.
Until next time Elvis.

6 hours until review. Status updates!
Hahaha I love your boob quote ;-)
Ah I finished my essay this morning! After a long painful night writing bullshit of course. But its done and I'm not touching it anymore.
After I finished, I went out and got a haircut (you'll see this next time I webcam hehe) Its even shorter than last time...I'm approaching my goal of a crew cut!!!
Now I'm just sitting my lab waiting for things to get marked. One of the questions this week was an interesting one - how do you determine if someone has entered and snooped around your room :) I'll post some interesting ones up later.
Anyways marker's here, catch you later.

Salsa, GPS and Significant Others.
If you're reading this Elvis, then you should have accepted the invite ;)
I had been weary of posting anything personal here because I didn't know who read this (and I wanted to bitch!!!) but now I've made it private so only you can read it.
As I mentioned before, this week is going to be hectic for me. I have my cryptography lab due tomorrow (should be finished on the train today), my GPS essay (50% completed) on Friday and cryptography lab (the one I'm writing for other students) the first week after uni break. So lots to do. All this PLUS I have CSE revue on Thursday night. So my essay HAS to be finished by tomorrow night. I might end up taking time off work.
That takes care of my academic life...now onto my personal one...(or lack thereof).
The two things on my mind both start with S - Salsa on Sunday night (w00t alliteration) and S*. Actually I had hoped that it would be Salsa with S* on Sunday Night (massive alliteration!). Alas guess what? As with all girls that Calvin likes...yes she has a boyfriend. Argh well :)
Today's (19th) is Speak like a pirate day by the way. So start yabbin' ya landlubber!

EMP 2006
What do you get when you scale down the Amazing Race into one city...into one day? The CSCS's annual EMP race. We (Jasper and I) had a promising start, however our total inability to do sudokus lost us 10 minutes of valuable time. All in all it was a fun day, we came tied 11th, just 30 minutes after the first guys. I'll just post some pictures up...I didn't get much time to take much during the race, but more to come after the CSCS people publish them.
In the grand tradition there were trackworks on the day of the race.

Chees doing some meditation before the race...
A bunch of us after the race :D
